I had the pleasure of meeting Maurette and her daughter in September 2002 after voting. I told her I purchased her CD and I loved it! She thanked me and asked me my name and what church I attended and she was very humble and her daughter is so adorable.

I purchase many gospel CD's and this is one I can listen from start to finish. Every track brings me to another level in God. She is a "homegirl" and I pray that her CD does well because she is so talented.

My favorite songs are:
1. Since He Came--Your life will never be the same
2. Even in the Rain--God is always working even when times are tough.
3.You've Been Good To Me--Enough said...

And the list goes on and on...Maurette, you have blessed my family with your music and ministry.

I just bought this CD and have played it straight through TWICE already. I'm already a fan of Maurette's but had never purchased any of her music. I was blessed to have her lead our Women's Day Choir a few years ago. At any rate ,this CD starts and finishes great. The lyrics in By His Grace are powerful. The unique sound of Come See About Me is the kind of music that will hopefully reach those who are not in love with gospel. One Prayer Away is an AWESOME for ushering in private devotion and conversation with God. And "Just Want to Praise You" just makes you want to have CHURCH all the time. GOD BLESS MAURETTE BROWN CLARK on a wonderful SECOND ALBUM EFFORT!

I knew when I purchased this CD that it would be pure, excellent ministry. Not only are the lyrics awesome (in her usual style), but the music is oh so tight. I am always blessed when I hear Maurette minister. Old and young can appreciate it. My favorite, "Even in the Rain" stays with me all day after I hear it in the car on the way to work. Take my word for it, you'll love this one!

You know, some folks get all the hype, and everyone jumps on the train for the ride. Some folks can sing like crazy, do all of the vocal runs, but have no real conviction. And then some people just minister to you and you know that everything that they do is real, and for the Lord. If you want the hype, then stay with the usual suspects. But if you want to be ministered to, then get this CD from the "little engine that could."

Maurette Brown Clarke has done it again! The album, By His Grace, is nothing short of AMAZING. I was almost afraid to purchase this one because I didn't think she could possibly top her WONDERFUL first album, How I Feel. Boy was I wrong. This is a must have CD for all gospel music lovers. It will uplift your spirit and bless your soul.

This CD is annointed from beginning to end. I'm purchasing it again after first hearing it a while ago. Mrs Maurette Brown Clark's music is just annointed. I'd recommend this CD to anyone and everyone. Every single song is a blessing.

I first heard Maurette minister the song "Calvary" at my church for a concert tour with Richard Smallwood and Donald Lawrence. Man, the anointing fell in the place when she ministered that song!! I bought the project the next day, and was very pleasantly surprised to find that I absolutely LOVED the entire project!!! Each song has a special meaning for me and I think she really puts her heart and soul into her writing. My cuts on here are "Even In the Rain," "Lean On You," "King Of Kings," and "Calvary." She is one artist that loves Jesus, and it comes across so clearly in her music. Keep on doing it Maurette!!!!

I first heard Maurette when she was ministering through song at my church First Mount Olive Baptist Church and knew that I had to have her c.d. This cd is really a blessing to my life. I can listen to it with her sultry voice every day. By His Grace is a must have in the gospel c.d. music collection. This c.d. will leave you feeling happy and thankful for all the Lord has done for you. I really can't pinpoint which song I love the best because they are all awesome!!! Calvary, One Prayer Away, Since He Came,King of Kings and of course Just Want to Praise You just speak to me! I can't wait for Maurette to put out another inspiring, praise filled c.d. If you don't have her c.d. you need to go get it and be Blessed!

This recording is a special CD in my collection.....I travel with it....I sleep with it.....I clean with it......I go to work with it....I dance to it...and praise and lift up the savior with it...This recording was better than her first recording....you rarely find someone who enhances their skill a second time...she's surpassed herself....The CD could have not opened with a better song... "By this Grace"...nice jam that will catapult you into a frenzy...."Even in the Rain" speaks...it is a song that allows the Father to speak to your situation...and speak to your storm....we must know and realize that storms are inevitable and we must go through them...and song only reaffirms God's promise....." ...Lo, I'll be with you always...even unto the ends of the earth" ...He's still workin.....even in the rain...."Since He Came" is a wonderful ballad-like song....you can tell when some is singing just to sing...and when someone is singing to "reach Heaven"....she is reaching heaven and taking everyone who listens to the CD with her....."You've Been Good" is another great song........her ad-libs are just "stupid!!" ...she literally keeps on going like the track ended too early....not being repetitive but thanking God for everything. "Restoration" is an old Winans' classic....she does it flawlessly....."Lean on You" is very personal ...a song in which she duets with an original member of Richard Smallwood's first group..."The Richard Smallwood Singers"...(note that Maurette is a member of Vision, Richard Smallwood's present group)....The song is very personal and candid.....if you've ever thought that you were the only one who felt a certain way....think again...I know I had to....and this song helped me..."King of Kings" & "Calvary" are wonderful Easter solos....(written by Maurette herself)....I Just Want TO Thank You is the church's praise and worship anthem...I'm pretty sure I don't have to say anything about this tract....Of course when I finished listening to this CD I had to look at the producing team...and Kevin Bond....(duh)...was a keynote player on the producing team....Moreover....Maurette is a wonderful songstress (and plays very well......especially on her solos). Something my pastor's wife says to the young people in our church .., "...If you sing... from your heart you'll touch God and the people"....Mrs. Brown-Clark exemplifies her desire for God....so........GO AHEAD AND CLICK THIS ONE IN YA CART..

Maurette's second album is excellent. My favorite tracks are by his grace, even in the rain, one prayer, and the list goes on. I enjoyed the whole cd and i play it at work everyday. Easy listening that encourages your spirit :)
