For those embracing moderation as the wave of the future: if you are only getting one Jimmy Reed disc, this is the one! It doesn't include every cool song, but for many it will suffice. Reed's harmonic and rhythmic monotonies reflect the limitations of the folklore tradition that spawned his urban blues, but within the groove he plowed he was a master who sowed rock 'n' roll seeds worldwide.

It was fantastic to get this CD. I have all of Jimmy Reeds LP's with no way to play them. I did notice that the drum beats in the beginning of Honest I do were cut off but all in all it is a great CD if you are as much of a fan as I am.

I purchased the CD at my husband's request. He could hardly wait for it to arrive. It arrived quickly, and he is enjoying it immensely. I just asked him what he wanted me to say about it. He was headed out the door at the time, and he said, "I believe I will put it in and listen to it right now."
