ABOUT MICHELLE
Author of All Things Romance

As long as she can remember, Michelle has had a strange fascination with anything supernatural and sci-fi. After discovering historical romance novels, it was only natural that the supernatural and love/romance elements should someday meet in her wonderland of a brain. She's glad they did for their children have been pouring onto the computer screen ever since.

Michelle loves to travel and try new things, whether it's a paranormal investigation of an old Vaudeville Theatre or climbing Mayan temples in Belize. She's addicted to movies and used to drive her mother crazy while quoting random scenes with her brother. Though it has yet to happen, her dream is to be in a horror movie as 1. A zombie or 2. The expendable screaming chick who gets it in the beginning credits. But for the most part she can be found writing in her office with a cup of coffee in pajama pants.

I read voraciously and especially enjoy my Kindle.

For me, the book was too short (only 169 pages), left a lot of unanswered questions, and felt like it was missing some chapters.
Claade
I've read the entire Dragon Lord series, and loved each one of the books.

After reading the first 4 books of the Dragon Lord series, I was so looking forward to this one. It started out really well, then just fell apart at the end. For me, the book was too short (only 169 pages), left a lot of unanswered questions, and felt like it was missing some chapters. Totally disappointed, considering how good the first 4 books were, and how well this book started out.

So you wondered what happened to the poor grooms who weren't lucky enough to succeed at the bridal ceremony. Well the poor old Duke has had that humiliation a few times (X7), so you can imagine he's a little frustrated..apparently the grooms don't indulge with those women of loose morals the queen warned the wives about in the first series, so the Duke has been frustrated and alone for the last 7long hard years...you just know that first night of exploring is going to get a bit steamy and HARD..boy oh boy is he hard...So the story twists and turns there in the usual miscommunication / misunderstnding that have cooured the first 4 drgaon lord books, but with Pillow is back to her best. Definitely a little rushed at the end, but guessing she is setting up the remainder of this series and getting us hooked from the start.

WHILE ITS TRUE THIS STORY IS SHORTER THAN THE FIRST 4 IT IS NONE THE LESS A VERY GOOD READ.

FOR STARTERS THE HERO MAKES ONE MISTAKE AFTER ANOTHER AT THE "BREEDING FESTIVLE"; LIKE NOT PAYING ATTENTION WHEN HIS DESTINED WIFE WALKS RIGHT BY HIM AND HAVING SEX WITH HER THE SAME NIGHT. (THE LAST ONE IS A BIG NO-NO FOR THE DRAIG.) UNLIKE IN THE FIRST 4 HINTED SPOILERS TO THE STORY LINES OF THE UPCOMMING NOVLES ARE FEW IN NUMBER (LIKE ONLY ONE HINT PER NEXT BOOK, THOUGH IT COULD BE BECAUSE WHEN I GOT INTERESTED IN THE SERIES THE FIRST 4 HAD ALREADY BEEN PUBLISHED AND REVIEWED AND I DIDN'T HAVE TO WAIT FOR UPCOMMINGS UNTIL NOW.)BUT LIKE THE FIRST 4 THOUGH, THE STORY ENDS WITH THE PREGNANCY ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE HEROINE.

P.S. IT LOOKS LIKE MS. PILLOW WILL BE WRIGHTING THESE STORIES IN THE BROTHERS BIRTH ORDER, UNLIKE THE FIRST 4 WERE OLDEST CAME FIRST, THEN YOUNGEST, AND THEN THE MIDDLE ONES (DON'T ASK WHO WAS SECOND AND THIRD BORN I COULD NEVER GET THAT RIGHT.)

P.P.S. THE HEROINE IS JUST AS FEISTY AND STUBBORN AS THE OTHERS BEFORE HER.

Michelle Pillow has gone back to writing about the highly acclaimed series of futuristic dragon and cat shape shifters whose futuristic planet has not been able to keep up a supply of fertile females to mate with. They resort to recruiting willing females from other planets to life-mate with them in a once a year night long mysterious ceremoney between staranger natives culminating with a claim in the morning and a mate wedding ceremony.

This series has always been on my save and re-read list of all time favorites. I have been waiting for more spin off. The author now gives the reader the story of the high duke and his family getting their turn at the bridal mating ceremoney.

High Duke Bron and Aeron are the newest couple. Each has secrets from the other but once the crystal's broken they share all of each other's baggage. See how a accidental marriage can survive the distance while outside forces test their commitment.

A new book added in her ongoing series and I was glad I had remembered to come back and get it because it didn't miss a beat. As always with all her books she gives her characters enough angst to really rile you up and enough plot and suspense to keep your finger ready to turn the next page *or for us kindle/iPad users tap to the next page*. I will defiantly keep buying her books as I haven't been let down by her writing style yet. You don't need to read the other books in the series to get what is going on in this story but you won't regret buying her other books either... Happy readings!!!

Like others, I looked forward to reading this. It started well and then dropped away. The story seemed rushed and more about setting things up for what are clearly going to be other books in this side series. Ms Pillow would be better served re-editing this one and adding more character depth and development, as they are very good characters, just badly let down by a amateurish rushed ending.

Recommend people skip this one and head straight to the first book of the Lords of Var.

Format: Paperback
Aeron Grey overhears a transmission signaling the possible invasion to the planet Qurilixen while at work for the Federation. When she reports her suspicions, her superiors don't want to get involved since Qurilixen is not part of the Federation. Not one to take the possible destruction of a planets' population in stride she sets out with the help of her sister to warn the Qurilixen people of the attack. Unfortunately the only way they can find to get there is using the Galaxy Brides corporation where they must sign a contract to become brides on that planet. Aeron doesn't see this as a problem since she doesn't plan to stay there or be picked as a bride.

Lord Bronislaw, High Duke of Draig attends the Breeding Festival for the seventh time, he has lost all hope that he will find a bride. He is pleasantly shocked to discover his bride in Aeron and sets out to make her his.

This is the 5th book in the Dragon Lords series set in the same time frame as the previous four books. Bron is the cousin of the four princes and his family is in charge of the breeding of animals, mining, and some intergalactic travel. It has been a few weeks since I read about the four princes so it was nice to go back to the series. While this book is a nice addition to the series, I felt there was something lacking in it. It's not as long as the previous books and it seems to end abruptly with many unanswered questions. You do get a brief epilogue where you know that the rest of the story will be told in the other brothers books but it still leaves Bron and Aeron's story a little up in the air.

I was happy to see that this story took place (mostly) away from the palace and if you don't read the previous four books, you won't be lost.
