Picked the Series back up!!,

After being a little disppointed with the second book in this series I was a lttle worried about this book. I'm glad that I was wrong. Overall this was a good and fast read for me. We are introduced to the baby Lockhart sister Amber. Even though she appears confident on the outside she is a insecure and scared woman on the inside. Paul was a good match for to let her see what a good person she was inside and out and not just a pretty face. Paul is an Alpha male in the truest form and what a man! Paul brass demeanor was due to hurt in the past but Amber helped him let go of his hurt. The baby in the story (Paul's son) is too cute! The story had its heated and tender moments along with some action and a bit of suspense! This series definitely picked pack up with this book.

Ok I like this story like everybody else. I just felt like the author should have made Amber a little more mature than 21 I know she is the wild child but I felt she needed more time to develop in her life 21 your still learning about yourself but to become and instant mom and married, I would even have like to see her 24 maybe even 23 also the author never go on to disclose Paul's age that also bothered me being she is 21. I never review a book and break down characters like this because at the end of the day it's just fiction I also didn't understand the title. The other thing that bothered me I think sometimes the author try to prolong the story at certain times in the book basically certain things were not needed. All in all I still enjoyed it I know it seems like I didn't but the good out way the bad.
And as for Dashuan's character in the book 2 words "UNDERCOVER Freak" surprised nope did make the book interesting.

The Taming of Amber Lockhart,
By Kay Kay "kaabee" (Maryland) - See all my reviews
This review is from: His Holiday Bride (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
This was a very good book. I knew that the man that was chosen to win Amber's heart was going to have to be strong and determined! Paul was that man and the little one was an added plus. Amber couldn't resist, no matter how hard she fought. Paul had some control issues and Amber had some committment issues. Together they made and explosive match and their shortcomings were balanced out by love.
This is one of those books that you pick up and don't put down until you have read the very last page and then you still want more. Can't wait to read the next installment in this series.

Where can I find Paul?,
This review is from: His Holiday Bride (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
I loved this story. I loved how strong Paul was and how he just knew Amber was the one. My heart broke for Amber and the self image that she had of herself. I loved how Paul called her Angel. He was so sweet, patience and perfect for her in every way. This is my first time reading a book by this author. I am looking forward to reading more of her stories.

I Loved this book, Amber got what she needed in a man and that was Paul. And Paul got what he needed and that was Amber..Their personalites complemented each other... She dove right into motherhood and did not look back. For him he needed someone to not only take care of him and his household, but also his heart, that was still ailing from the loss of the baby's mother. With Paul is my kind of man. WHAT A MAN, WHAT A MAN !

A Magical Holiday Romance,

This review is from: His Holiday Bride (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
"His Holiday Bride" is the 3rd book about the Lockhart's sisters - Ruby, Opal, Pearl, and Amber. This time, it is Amber's story. Amber is the youngest of the Lockharts and is said to be the most feisty. For Amber trouble seems to magically follow her. However, her sisters, her family and friends have always been there for her. The Lockharts's sisters have looked out for each other every since they were parentless by the deaths of their parents -- their father, who was a policeman and died in the line of duty several years before the death of their mother. Now, every since their mother's death, Amber has seemed to gone astray. Amber does not know what she wants to do with her life. For Amber, she does what comes naturally.
Amber just wants to have a good time and party. She cannot seem to make up her mind. She does not know what she wants to do in her life. Is it college or what? Now, at this time, Amber's life seems to change drastically and dramatically when she meets Dashaun Kennedy, the star of the football team. Not only are there changes in Amber's life, but they are life-threatening changes. Amber refuses to listen to her sisters, her family and friends, and even Opal's fiance', the owner of the football team when they all try to warn Amber to steer clear of Dashaun and that Dashaun is bad news. Amber decides to accompany Dashaun when he invites her to L.A. with him for some fun and games. However, life and the party Amber thought she would be attending is not what it all appears to be. There are some earth-shattering and eye-opening scenes that Amber encounters -- much of which she never thought of and did not dare bargain for. Now, Amber is on the run -- not from what she thought was her destiny -- but running to a destiny. After witnessing what she saw and what happened afterwards, Amber wonders will there even be a life for her. As always, her sisters are there for her. When Amber fails to contact her sisters after several days since she left their hometown, they are worried and ask their friend, Luther Biggens, who is like the big brother they never had, for help. Luther contacts his old army buddy, Paul Gutierrez, for help. Paul steps in, comes to Amber's rescue and indeed, Amber's life is not the same from the first encounter with Paul. Needless to say, neither is Paul's life. His life, his infant son's life, and Amber's life are all tied up in that one fateful meeting. Paul is a wonderful, sincere guy, but also a little bit afraid to trust another woman after having experienced heartache before. However, all guns are go because Paul cannot help himself or his feelings for the beautiful, but insecure Amber, who thinks she can handle life all by herself. It takes both their love for one another to make the other one see their true value and worth. Love indeed is an eye awakening, healing process. "His Holiday Bride" is heart-warming, loving, moving, and filled with adventure. It is a great read and a quick page turner. You will not want to put it down until you find out what happens next and next.

His Holiday Bride,
This review is from: His Holiday Bride (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
The Lockhart's, the youngest, Amber, pretty girl and hung up on superficial looks. Amber caught in the life of pretty boy, basketball trouble star, DaShaun Kennedy, learns a valuable lesson about real love and superficial looks. I'm glad she had the opportunity to see Mr. Kennedy for who he really was, yet find herself with Luther friend, Paul Gutierrez owner of G-Force. A lesson for Amber was to learn her self-worth and that beauty is skin deep. Paul help her to believe in herself. I just wasn't in agreement with the way he led her to believe that he was poor as dirt - but as I read the book I understood - because she always fell for the bad boys with money. When Paul gave her the opportunity to decorate his home, and Amber realized that she couldn't do without him and Jochiam, I realized that she was becoming a mature individual in her own right. Overall the books on the Lockharts' Sisters were a good read.

Can they pull it together?,

This review is from: His Holiday Bride (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
After a scary close call with a well-known athlete, Amber finds herself in California living in very close quarters with the sexy security guri Paul Gutierrez. They both attempt to deny the passion that they have burning inside for each other, but they know the heat is on! Paul is adamant on not having a sexual relationship with her until she commits to him. Amber is dermined not to commit.
Will the wild child Amber be able to give him the commitment he wants? Or will Paul give in to her advances and let his past hurts go? This book definitely picked back up the spice that this series had when it began with In Bed With Her Boss by Brenda Jackson. Elaine Overton did a good job of keeping the conflict and passion burning in this installment and I look forward to reading about Ruby in the Forbidden Temptation.
