Rarely do I ever just go on and on about a book as I read tons and our family/kids love to read as well, but this is the most precious book for young girls and their relationship to God you will EVER find. It is a WONDERFUL, WONDERFULLY touching book that is full of truth and may have you in tears as the love of God for your daughter just pours out of each page.

Each page is set up with God's letter from Him to her on the left side along with a verse, and her prayer in response on the right. There are quite a few pages and it is bound well and beautifully printed.

Perfect for reading at night to your child rather than just giving to them to read on their own, it's one-page 'chapters' are perfect for bedtime, or before prayers, or as a mother or dad devotional time with your child. My daughter actually asked me to read it with her at bedtime - Me reading the God portions and her the prayers in response.

You might worry that this is just another "Prncess-marketing gimmick book" to make money ala Disney, but that couldn't be farther from the truth! This is the meat of God's word and His desire to know your little girl...It will cause her to read the Bible and want to know God better. I too, worried a bit that it would follow that same, self-centered, "You are my princess" theme that we are always fighting against, but soon realised that this book offers many of it's own correctives to this kind of thinking. Good of the author to realise this and address it early on!

We are so looking forward to the boys version, "God's Mighty Warrior" that should be coming out soon by the same author. If you have boys it will probably be as good as this one! Buy it, read it, give tons of them away. It is easily the best $$ I have spent on a book in a long time.

An invaluable tool to teach a girl to love the Word of God. Each section is a letter from God (the King) to his daughter (the princess). Each is based on a scripture that teaches about Godly character and ends with a prayer. I've found it a wonderful way to teach my daughter to understand God's Word and treasure it as well. A must-read for every true princess!

What a great book! Tell your little girl that she is God's little princess. NOT A PRETEND PRINCESS! We are all God's princesses! My twin girls love it, they are 6 years old. It's almost like a bible study for little girls. A++++

My daughter has this book and we decided to give it to her best friend for her birthday. She loved it, took it to Brownie camp and now other Moms are asking about it, wanting it for their daughters. It is an excellent book covering real-life topics and giving Biblical answers to those issues. We love it!!

My daughter asked Jesus one day if He would write her a letter. She was very distraught because she wanted to hear from Him. A few months later I found this book and it fit perfectly for her. She practices what characteristics a true princess of the true King has and she learns that true beauty is in her heart and how she acts as a princess of Jesus Christ. She will even seek forgiveness when she messes up. The book is a great source of security for a little girl who needs comfort in knowing her King loves her adn that she is beautiful to Him and His opinion matters above anyone else's.

when my very girly girl daughter turned 5, I didn't want to have the typical Disney princess party. I had found this book at the MOPS (mothers of preschool) convention and it was perfect for my princess. I constructed a "God's princess" birthday party around the theme of this book. God is our King and we are his Princess. There is a letter on the 1st page 'from God' talking about a character trait He wants us to exhibit and how and why. Then on the page next to it is a prayer for the 'little princess' to pray to God about wanting to learn about that particular character trait! I love it!

I would highly recommend this book for young girls. Very encouraging and uplifting.

I really loves this book, but I have to be honest...my girls didn't really enjoy it as much as I did. It's very colorful and attractive, but it was missing something. I love the whole idea of putting letters together from God to His little princess. Such a treasure of truths to give to my girls. I this this is perfect for the ages of 4 or 5 and wonderful to use for them as a devotional time. For the younger age there isn't really anything to keep their attention like pictures...it was mainly just words and very colorful pages.

My oldest picked up the book for a little bit, but she didn't really make the connection of the letters. I think it would have been more helpful if there would have been pictures to help the girls connect what was being said.

Honestly I think this book is best held on by mom and used for devotional times with your daughters.

A MUST READ for every girl small or big. Every girl dreams of being a princess (yes, even us women if we will admit it:):). It is beautifully illustrated with beautiful coloring that captures the eye. It is sound in it's teachings of biblical truth that will touch every heart. Parents will be happy to know that it will teach their children to obey them, to be kind to others, sharing and giving and so much more. It also, makes a perfect baby gift...

I recently had the opportunity to review "His Little Princess- Treasured Letters from Your King" by Sheri Rose Shepherd. This book is so great for little girls (I recommend ages 5-12). It has letters from their King which is God and always has scripture involved. It teaches them different lessons and how to live and shine like a princess every day, because that is just what they are! For young girls this book will help them to make right decisions and shape them into young Godly women. I really appreciate the goal and messages in this book and wish I had something similar when I was growing up!
