I've lived in the Micronesian Islands for over twenty years and know the stories of O'Keefe quite well, and this book is based on a real trader/businessman/island rogue/explorer, etc. The book is well-researched and truthful and well worth the time to explore the man and the islands. The writers did a good job in creating a readable, interesting story. Good job - excellent book.
