This review is from: His Rebel Bride (Kindle Edition)
I bought this book because I love the middle ages and I love a good romance but this just fell short. Set during the time of King James II this books deals with all the manuvaring before the revolution in England. The history was instersting but the story was lacking. The H/h have very little interactions with each other as the H is away fighting for the most of the book. The h spends the first half of the book angry for being forced to marry the Hero because of a card game. She is also upset because she didn't marry the man she has loved since childhood. But then while the Hero is away fighting she starts to changer her views of him and falls in love with out really ever talking to him. The attepmt at mystry just fell short. I had figured out who had killed the Hero's father before I was even half way finished with the book. I kept reading thinking that it would get better but it never does.
