Book Description

India Reinhart, a 33-year-old successful Kansas City graphic artist, is torn as to what is the right thing to do when she finds a diary in a box of old books she purchases at a yard sale. Things get very dicey once she steps deeper and deeper into the quagmire of the lives that have unfolded in the pages of that diary. It is a quagmire that India realizes is turning out to be almost as unsettling as the life she is already living.

To make matters worse, India finds herself attracted to, rather than repelled by, the man she has come to despise based on his wife’s written words. He's Langley Monza, a Kansas City favorite son and ex-NFL star. The unwelcome attraction is a very complicated emotion for her since she still has some unfinished business with her own ex-fiancé and feels guilt and betrayal towards the diary writer whom she knows is dead.

India discovers there is much more than just a broken heart hidden in the pages of Langley’s wife’s diary and it is that discovery that she realizes may easily drastically change the course of a number of lives, including her own.

5.0 out of 5 stars Must Read June 16, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I loved the twist and turns in this story. The main character drew me in from the very begining. I didn't feel like I was reading a story, I felt like I was actually in the story feeling every emotion that the author had for me to experience. I encourage everyone to buy this book, sit back, and enjoy a beautiful story.

This was a very good read, it was fast moving like most short stories, but it also made you care about the main people in the story.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Wonderful Story February 3, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I truly enjoyed reading the e-Book "His Wife's Diary" by Tess Allen, a very talented author. I was drawn in from the first page until the last one. Allen's character development was great and I enjoyed each character. One way that you know that an author is gifted is while you are reading their work, you can also feel each character's emotions and can visually picture each scene and this is what I experienced while reading this e-Book. And, I could definitely feel the heat between the protagonist, India, and Langley. Also, what I loved about the book is how the diary even though India may not have realized it at first, was the catalyst she needed to begin getting back into the game of life after going through a difficult time. This was very creative of the author. I highly recommend this e-Book and hope that the author writes a sequel so that I can experience the journey of India and Langley's love blossoming.

I saw this book and had no intention of reading it. However, the price was right and it sat on my Kindle for quite a while. Once I started it (the book) it was not easy to stop. I finished it two days. What a good Love Bites

This was a good book. I wish that it wasn't a short story. I felt the ending was rushed to complete the story.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good story. Editor needed.
This book needs an editor. There are so many grammar errors I don 't know if I can finish it. Very sad, even though it seems like a decent story.

More About the Author

Tess Allen is the pen name of Peggy Eldridge-Love who is a seasoned poet, playwright, screenwriter, short-story writer and novelist. His Wife's Diary is Tess Allen's sophomore offering as a romance author. Her first novella, The Jewel Thief, was her debut romance for the Love Bites Series.

Entering the romance suspense arena was a long-held dream of Peggy's, but she was unsure of her ability to craft the kind of story she loved to read herself and also unsure of her current audience's support of a venture into that genre. When she was invited to contribute a couple of novella's to the Love Bites series by another friend and author she decided to do so using the pen name "Tess Allen". It was a great decision on all counts, Peggy believes!
