Hisoinc HS116 is a compact personal voice amplification system for people with low-volume speech (very soft speaking voices or esophageal speech). It is useful for people with Parkinson's, MS and other conditions that cause a strain on the larynx. It is also ideal for professionals who place heavy demands on their voices, including teachers, trainers and trade show presenters. It comes with one lapel and one headset microphones, 8 pieces of rechargeable batteries and an AC/DC adaptor for charging the batteries. I am a tour guide at a historic site in Moultonborough, NH. This amplifier serves me very well. I use it during those times when the large number of visitors requires me to give my introduction on the trolley, starting at the parking lot in the valley and ending at the site on top of the mountain. Even with large groups in the historic home itself, the amplifier is a tremendous aid. Besides, it adds a sense of professionalism. I do, however, find that the microphone has to be very close to my mouth to get the proper amplification. In fact, I actually hold the lapel mike with one hand. Attaching it to my lapel does not work.
