Editorial Reviews

Filmed with five cameras and the newest digital technology, these magnificent documentaries feature reenactments and voice-over narration of the different campaigns and the most famous battles that divided America in the 1860's.

The video chapter includes CHICKAMAUGA!, one of the bloodiest battles in the Civil War. The South is determined to drive the Northern troops from Tennessee and prevent them from controlling Chattanooga's rail lines. After the two days of fighting in September, 1863, over 18,000 Confederate and 16,000 Northern soldiers lay dead.

Also in the video chapter THE TENNESSEE CAMPAIGN OF 1864 -- THE LAST FIGHT FOR NASHVILLE. The South is determined to draw Gen. Sherman out of Georgia and launches a massive campaign to re-capture the Tennessee capitol. Here you will see one of the largest battle reenactments ever filmed, using 9,000 actors. Beautifully shot near Nashville, it features full-scale recreations of soldiers camps, trenches, buildings and authentic wardrobe and music, putting the viewer right in the middle of the fight.

The Audio Chapter includes a full length soundtrack of all music used in the documentaries.

The Interactive Chapter includes an album of Civil War era photographs.
