5.0 out of 5 stars Nice mix of historic cars including some rare prototypes - postcards, September 14, 2008
This review is from: Historic Cars Photo Cards: 24 Cards (Card Books) (Paperback)
This is a book of standard size postcards with perforated edges that you tear out. I make a point of very lightly trimming the bumpy edges before mailing. I bought this because a family friend was doing time in a County Jail for a probation violation and he loved receiving the cards. He said they were a huge hit with everyone in his dorm and when he cleared up his case and got released he gave away all the cards I had sent to guys who asked for them.

The mix of cars represented go from the very early horseless carriage looking cars on up through the early 60's. There's an emphasis on cars that had breakthrough styling or iconic status. Most of the cars are American. The photography presents the cars very well.

Here's a partial list of some of the cars represented:

Pontiac GTO 1965
Ford Mustang Convertable 1965
Studebaker Avanti 1963
Chevy Vel Air Convertable 1956
Cadillac Eldorado 1959 (the one with the tail fins)
Ford Thunderbird 1956
Mercedez-Benz 300 SLR 1955
Ford X-100 1953 (a major step forward in style)
Studebaker Starlight Coupe 1951
Buick LeSabre 1950
Buick Y-Job 1938
Fordt Hot Rod 1932
Bugatti Royale Cabriolet 1931
Duesenberg Victoria 1931
Auburn Phaeton 1930
Packard roadster 1929
LaSalle Rodster 1927
Stutz bearcat 1923
Bewster Landaulet 1915

Just a book of old cars put into card format. I purchased this because I had an idea of painting something with old cars in it. The photos are clear and are good material to draw from.
