A Historic DVD that probes the consequences of wars, how they destroy entire populations and cities in fractions of seconds. The aftermath of wars and the manner in which they change the lives of survivors and their lifestyles. A high quality product proving that it's not state-of-the-art technology alone that makes for hard hitting films.Included here, among others, you will find the atomic bomb tests on Bikini Island in the Pacific, the nuclear death which destroyed the people and cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and glimpses of the Korean War.This vintage collection of Black &White, World War-II films has contributions from producers ranging from the U.S. War Department, Handy (Jam) Organization, and Warner News.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid Explanation Of The Cold War, May 22, 2006
By
This review is from: Historic Time Travel Wars Of The World (DVD)
The DVD here takes you on an intersting journey through the middle of America in the 20th century. We all know that the Soviets were our allies during World War II but within a few y ears became our arch enemy during the Cold War. But, few people ever talk about what happened to make that so. This DVD, on the other hand, takes the time to explain how it was the existence of the Atom bomb that changed the world landscape and created out of thin air the cold war that almost caused the end of hte human rance. It's a great study in how technolgy can cause unintended consequences.
