Editorial Reviews

Review

...this edition's updates to the chronology, dictionary, and bibliography justify its purchase. (Choice )

...significantly expands upon the previous 1989 edition...the Recent Plitical Chronology...includes important historical events of the twentieth century through May, 1996...entries are...accessible...For the researcher there is an excellent and wide-ranging entry on Documentation Centers in Niger...an invaluable reference work for both scholars new to the country and for others more familiar with its peoples and history. (Canadian Journal Of African Studies )
