This book is not exactly what we thought we were buying. I have no complaints about the price or condition of the book. It arrived on time. Unfortunately there was no volume number in the description and the picture "looked" like the one we wanted, but it was not. Used book sellers rarely list the volume numbers/time period. I have had trouble buying other copies of this book for family members who are interested in geneology. I think that the sellers are unaware that there are volumes that cover different time periods. When the volume number and dates therein are not listed in the description, it is a dice game trying to get the volume sought. Unfortunately, when buying online, phone numbers to contact the sellers are frequently unavailable. Buyer beware.

This book is only Volume 2 of the original 2 volume publication. The cover makes no statement about the volume it covers. It's only when you open the book and look at the inner cover of the original photographically reproduced text do you realize it is only volume 2.

This volume 2 is mainly a listing of family names in the covered towns. While the family names may be useful for genealogical research, it doesn't have all of the detailed town history contained in volume one. Apparently the publisher, "Nabu" has never reprinted Volume one.
