This review is from: History of an Artist (Audio CD)
From its title, this 2 CD set appears to be some kind of a "best of" compilation covering Oscar Peterson's career. However, it is a collection of recordings made in 1972-1974 with various combinations of sidemen that he played with after the breakup of the Ray Brown/Ed Thigpen Trio. This is a mellow but swinging group of songs that is as good as Peterson's best recordings. I recommend this set to anyone who enjoys the Verve recordings from the 60's.
