This books should be called "Cannibalism for Dummies" because its filled with so much information-the author talks about serial killers who practiced cannibalism, to ancient Incas, to even Mao's China where people were forced into cannibalsim becasue of famine. To make the book more chilling he adds first hand accounts of cannibalsim from people who witnessed or even performed it.
The author does such a great job pouring out his ideas and the history,it makes the book an easy read (I was done with this book during a weekend). Though this book is very informative, it will leave you craving more-two books I read after this were Hans Askenasy's "Cannibalism: From Sacrfice to Survival" and Garry Hogg's "Cannibalsim and Human Sacrifice" (this book is a real trip-most of the book is composed of letters and books written by missionaries during the 19th century who witnessed cannibalism)
In Conclusion: this book is awesome-if you want an easy read about a topic everyone avoids like the plague, you cant go wrong with this book-I'll say this, you will never eat BBQ ribs the same way after reading this book :P
