Realistic? I say nay nay,

For all of those people who say that this game gives you a realistic and historical way to play through the Pacific Theatre, I say nay nay. You are basically a one man army, you can drive a PT boat by just entering it and getting on the MG and you can take down the WHOLE Japanese Army. The graphics are terrible with no depth or detail, all the enemys look alike and all the look alike too. The missions are terribly repetitive, with basically every level having you take out an MG nest or shoot down a couple of Zeros. You can take a shotgun blast to the face while holding a knife and still be able to kill the guy. This was developed by the same people who developed "The Civil War", a crappy way to make a buck. This is a crappier way to make a buck. A cheap cash in which could have been made into a great game if it had been made by someone who knows how to make a game. On another point, the weapons kinda suck. They are general on the wepaons they have in the game(the same in every WWII game), but in those games grenades go more than 3 feet in front of you. It is a barely enjoyable title, and I would not recommend it to anyone except for those who like crappy games.

I don't get some the reviews for this game. Yes, the graphics are not the best. Yes, you do live a long time in combat. This isn't a Call of Duty, or Medal of Honor. It's History Channels, Battle for the Pacific. I've played Call of Duty World At War. This game doesn't compete with it. It does give you a good description of the Pacific Theater.
The pros to this game. 1. The weapons are real feeling. 2. Graphics are good. (Good have been better) 3. Good story. 4. Great WWII sounds. 5. Great music. The cons. 1. Controls are a little hard to use. 2. Mild swearing. 3. Lots of blood with a shotgun blast. 4. Missions do repeat themselves a little. 5. Tough AIs. All in all, Battle for the Pacific is a pretty good game. I love WWII shooters, and gave this one a go. Wasn't disappointed, but wasn't thrilled with it either. I say, give it a chance. Not all WWII games are like Call of Duty. Play it with an open mind!

I will make this short and sweet
Pros: Provides the player a chance to play through realistic missions with historical information and clips. Fairly easy to play once you get used to the controls. Gives players "awards" for different accomplishments to create re-playability Cons: Graphics are quite poor compared to Call of Duty 3 for Wii and the AI is pretty dump. They always charge you even when they are covered.
