5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!!!
Although the this game is very short, I highly recommend this game to anyone. During my public schooling, I heard alot about the war that was raged in the Pacific theater during the World War II and I heard that these battles were difficult because how enemy outnumbered us in battle. But this games actually showed me those difficulties even on the easiest setting. This...

As my title indicates...this game is a joke. There are five main scenarios: you run through the jungle...shooting Japanese, you run through the trenches...shooting Japanese, you run through the caves...shooting Japanese, you run through the beach...shooting Japanese, and finally you run up the mountain path...shooting Japanese.

You have to continually follow a guy that basically keeps saying the same 3 or four phrases (over and over). For the most part he shoots all the Japanese before you get there because he is faster than you. There is no real difficulty to this game and no strategy. Each mission ends and you feel you just got started. I think the designers of this game were on a low budget because each scenario is the same except for the scenery. They could extend the game by letting you run through the desert...shooting Japanese.

Sure it has good graphics if you like trenches, beaches, jungles, caves, and a single mountain path and you buy games for the graphics only. The guns are somewhat unrealistic and the sounds they make is poor. In one scenario there were three Japanese sharp shooters you had to eliminate...all you have to do is just stand there and shoot them. They are sitting together in plain view and my grandmother could do it.

If you have ever played games like Halo (1-3), Call to Duty (2-4), etc... you will find this game a waste of your money. I wish I could get my money back. Don't buy it if you are use to playing exciting games. I went through it in about 2 hours total in normal mode. I guess the vetran mode would have more Japanese for the guy who runs in front of you to shoot....woopee.

2.0 out of 5 stars Certaintly not CoD5, June 22, 2009
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars

This is a fairly short, simple game. And it's not that good, so short is good in this case. It might as well be called 'Follow the Sergeant' because that is your job: Follow the Sergeant, through one boring mission after another. And never, ever stray too far or take time to be careful. You'll get left behind and die because you lost your beloved sergeant, who's constant admonitions of 'You will follow orders' really makes you want to shoot him. Oh, savor the first few minutes, where you are actually free to wonder around the trenches a bit, because it's the last time you'll be allowed on your own.

Having said that, if you are a mediocre gamer, like myself, this is your chance for revenge. If you've had it handed to you over and over in MoH: Pacific Assault or CoD5, you can come here and reap your vengence. Difficulty settings apparantly meant nothing to the programmers. Hardcore gamers, however, will most likely find this game dull, though the last mission, Iwo Jima, is actually pretty good. It's hardly a deserving of the name but it is the best mission of the game. Hey I rhymed there.

You should probably only get this game if you're really, really curious what it is like. That's why I bought it. Youtube tried to warn me and I ignored the warning. It's worth a couple of playthroughs but I can't honestly say it's worth buying at the current $20 price.

In short, you're probably better off putting your money towards CoD5 if you want war in the Pacific. This one could probably be a Super Mario 3d game or something.

2.0 out of 5 stars A waste of money!!!, March 14, 2008

I love watching the, "History Channel".But if this is an example of their ability to make games. Then I suggest that they stick to the one thing they do how to do,and do well I might add, documentry's for t.v.And leave game manufactouring for those who know how,and what their doing.War is hell, and unfortunently so is this game too.

This game's not the greatest, the screen is cramped, the graphics are unnatural, and gameplay's a 5 out of 10.
