This review is from: A History of the Christian Tradition, Vol. I: From Its Jewish Origins to the Reformation (Paperback)
This is a clear and concise look at the early church with an emphasis on giving us maximum exposure to all aspects of Christianity as it evolved from a messianic cult to the power behind all of western civilization. Judgement is not passed on heresies, they are just explained as to their beliefs and why they were not adopted as church doctrine.

This book is a decent one, relatively easy to read and understand. I also am lucky enough to have Fr. Quigley in class as my professor, and he is an outstanding man.
