About the Author
Historian Regina Wagner is the author of Los Alemanes en Guatemala 1828-1944 (Germans in Guatemala 1828-1944) and of Historia Social y Económica de Guatemala (A Social and Economic History of Guatemala), as well as many historical articles. She is a university professor and member of the Academy of History and Geography of Guatemala, over which she has presided.

We first saw this book in Antigua, Guatemala and were so impressed with the book (even though it had Spanish text) that we bought it.We were delighted to find the English version on Amazon. This book is a superb presentation of the history of coffee in that country. The excellent selection of historical photographs compliments and the the very informative narrative. If you have any interest in where some of the best coffee in the world comes from this book is for you.
