The fourth in a series of books on the Upper Montgomery County villages surrounding Sugarloaf Mountain. Dickerson is a small community of farms, homes and businesses. The village began to grow in 1869 when the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad constructed its Metropolitan Branch. This area boomed during the construction of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal's largest aqueduct in 1830.
