4.0 out of 5 stars A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE April 19, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
In complete honesty I got these for my Kindle simply because they were free, however, I'm finding them quite interesting. In my 76 years I've probably read 40 or 50 British/English histories. I always get something new. In this case the fact that they were written over 200 years ago clearly caused the author to see events in a very different light than most would today. For example, I just finished reading the section on King James I ... there was not a single word about the idea behind, the committee or anything else to do with the creation of the King James version of the bible; in fact the King James bible was literally not even mentioned.

5.0 out of 5 stars more about England August 26, 2013

Books like this are good for geneology support and information. The more we know about how our ancestors lived, the more we know about why we are who we are.
