A wonderful Audio CD with the best musics of most of all Alfred Hitchcock classics, my favorite are Dial M for Murder, North by Northwest, Rebecca, Spellbound, Marnie, as a matter of a fact, I appreciate all of them. A must keep CD for all Alfred Hitchcock movies fans.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Dial M For Murder...Rebecca...Spellbound...Hitchcock", December 12, 2001
This review is from: History of Hitchcock (Audio CD)
Alfred Hitchcock and the History of his work is as intriguing as his choice of composers for his films---each composer
legendary within their own right, but put the two together (Director & Composer), well you had a force to reckon with---this is
why the audiences flocked to the movie theatres for every ALFRED HITCHCOCK premier release.

Silva Screen Records America has given the "film-score-buff" collector a glimpse from the past---samplings of soundtracks and
the composers who scored them ~ "REBECCA"(1940-Franz Waxman)---"SUSPICION"(1941-Franz
Waxman)---"SPELLBOUND"(1945-Miklos Rozsa)---"UNDER THE CAPRICORN"(1949-Richard Addinsell)---"DIAL M
FOR MURDER"(1954-Dimitri Tiomkin)---"VERTIGO"(1958-Bernard Herrmann)---"NORTH BY
NORTHWEST"(1959-Bernard Herrmann)---"PSYCHO"(1960-Bernard Herrmann)---"MARNIE"(1964-Bernard
Herrmann)---"TOPAZ"(1969-Maurice Jarre)---"FRENZY"(1972-Ron Goodwin)---can't forget the opening track "THE
ALFRED HITCHCOCK THEME"(1955-65-Television Series), one of the few directors who made the transition from the Big
Screen to the small tube in your living room.

Chilling Suspense and Terror brought to you through the magic of Compact Disc...and on this CD re-creating the mood and
tone is The City Of Prague Philharmonic (world renown) and the infamous Paul Bateman (conductor)---solely for your listening
pleasure, recalling the early films from THE MASTER OF SUSPENSE...ALFRED HITCHCOCK!

If you had the hair on the back of your neck stand on in, why not try "A History Of Hitchcock II:To Catch A Thief"(Silva
Screen SSD-1045), sure to give you another round of gruesome, scary and terrifying dreams...gotta love it!

Total Time: 64:19 on 12 Tracks ~ Silva Screen Records SSD-1030 ~ (1995)
