There was no mention in the explanation of the book that there were no illustrations. I got the book, based on the cover picture, for a gift. I was very disappointed to find out that there were no illustrations in the book at all! I'm sure the book has alot of information about the developement of Indonesia, but I wanted the gift recipeint to 'see' what Indonesia was all about.
