Painfully pretentious...,
This review is from: History Man (Paperback)
Okay, so the book is supposed to a kind of "campus novel" that explores what campus life was like in the UK in the late 60s (the issues, the politics, the fads, etc.). And in that role, it succeeds. It's just too bad that the prose is as pretentious as so many of the characters.
