By then it had reached a global presence and annual sales over one billion dollars. The book is authored by James D. Scheinfeld, the former Chief Operating Officer of Manpower, Inc. during those years, with chapters contributed by the regional and national executives who were its pioneers in the US, Canada, France, U.K., Europe, Switzerland, Middle East, South America, Australia and the Pacific Rim.
