Great book,

Rather than addressing the merits of the book, individuals have made rather spurious claims that the monkey kung fu they are learning is the only "real" variety out there. Nonsense.
This is an excellent, informative book and is one of the only books available concerning this particular style. If you are interested in this style, you can safely discount the individuals who make boastful claims concerning themselves(so much for the humility that is supposed to go along with the art) while at the same time slandering Master Zink.

Having seen both the original material this book stole from and my copy of this book, it is obvious that Zink and Matsuda took pages from the original and badly edited them to suit their crappy book. That is not even arguable: it is a fact.
The material in the book is fairly "duh"--not really substantial or new. It is the kind of material that can be found online in a Google search. People bought this book because so little was known about this art at the time, and anything "monkey" was worth getting--even this. Having made many attempts to contact these authors to confront them about this book (with no reply), I cannot state this enough: it is a poor version of the real thing. As well, look at Zink's videos. What he is doing is not Tai Shing Pek Qwar. I'd like to know where he got his monkey scream and interesting stretching regime--I do not see that in the original school. The book to get would be Chan's if you can get it.

Plagiarism is a crime but still persons have been able to get away while doing it. This is a classic example of plagiarism of pictures, they have even created their own version of the TSPK family tree and inserted themselves. Its such a pity. As a result the real TSPK website has had to be taken down in order to protect genuine TSPK information. I grant the author that he is extremely flexible but his movements are not convincingly 'monkey like'. He needs to watch more videos of Grandmaster Chan Sau Chung and his son Master Chan Kai Leung to see what genuine Tai Shing Pek Kwar looks like. Sorry I have to say that this book is junk.
