I'll be brief in simply stating that if one desires a clear introduction to the most seminal elements of political philosphers whose thinking has helped set the direction of the modern western world, look no further than Sabine's astounding book.

This was the required text for Political Theory when I was studying Political Science in 1968. Since then I have lent it to several generations of Pol Sci. students who have all found it a brilliant summary. Last year my husband started a Masters in International Relations. Once again Sabine came to the fore. A great pity it is out of print. Cherish a copy if you can find it.

This text is considered The Bible for any political science person.The person that sent me that also was very prompt and sent me in a shape and condition that I had not imagined it would be.It's not "Like New", but actually new if I clean the name of the previous owner with an ink remover.Thank you.
