A real treasure, March 6, 2005
This review is from: The History of the Sons of Hawaii (DVD)
If you love Hawaiian music, then this film will touch your heart. It traces the history of the Sons of Hawai'i, but more importantly brings to light why Gabby Pahinui and Eddie Kamae are so important to the culture, but in different ways. You get to see indepth interviews with Moe Keale and Joe Marshall, both now gone, and so many great stories about the Sons, of kupuna who helped save the music and memories of Gabby.
Mahalo nui loa to Uncle Eddie for producing it and for releasing at an affordable price.

what memories returned to me, November 29, 2008
This review is from: The History of the Sons of Hawaii (DVD)
While not a native Hawaiian, but living on Oahu for many years I had the pleasure to "discover" The Sons of Hawaii. This video brought those memories back to me and all the enjoyable hours I had attending the live perofrmances. I used to watch carefully where they were performing and plan to attend those events. The video is very well produced and of excellent quality. Worth the price. Thank you
