About the Author

William C. Pendleton was born in Marion, Virginia, in 1847 and served in the Eighth Virginia Cavalry in Tazewell County. After the Civil War he studied law and practiced in Richmond, Virginia.

I do a lot of genealogy in addition to loving history. Well worth the purchase!
