This is a "must have" for those serious about studying textiles. Besides Irene Emery's book on the classification of textiles, sadly now out of print, and Elizabeth W. Barber's books, it contains some of the seminal work in historical textile, with amazing detail, scholarly research, and a wonderful bibliography.
