somewhat entertaining and educational
an entertaining but somewhat superficial overview of the story of LSD. Worth seeing as an educational primer or a film of "highlights" to jog your memory. Seems fairly balanced and objective for these sorts of documentaries.

LSD History Video looks slapped together
This video history of LSD (made for A&E) has a promising premise, but it falls into the trap of many videos produced for TV: it's written as if they found the video footage first, then tried to contruct a story around it, rather than write a story and find the necessary video foorage to accompany it. Well done. Old footage and new, LSD history on your TV,

The video does a wonderful job giving the history of LSD. There are many interviews (some old, some new) of different people that were involved in the history. The history of how LSD was first created is in there as well as how the US government tested LSD on innocent people.I just wish there were more videos out there like this one. |
