The great Chilites at their best, August 1, 2000

The Chilites rank at the top of my list of 70s soul groups. Their music was mature, it was frequently lush, and was characterised by memorable tunes. This particular CD features their greatest work before the disco era. Such gems as Have You Seen Her, Homely Girl, Toby and A Letter to Myself can never age. If you like black music and you've never heard the Chilites, don't hesitate to get this album. Then maybe you will make haste to collect the rest of their music.
