2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
I've read and enjoyed many novels from the same author but this was a big letdown. The book has obviously not been proof red correctly. In addition to spelling mistakes (forgivable), I've found factual errors about guns (wrong caliber/magazine capacity). For someone who's supposed to have been in the service this is surprising to say the least.

he will come face to face with terrorist and the things he must do are very cruel, crueler then he could had expect.
I hope i didn't say to much about this book, it's truly a nice book, it's sometimes a real pageturner, but it is just not great, nice, but not great.
there are may plotturns, like all of Ryan's books, but this book is definitely worth a read.

The plot is kinda full of holes. This probably has to do with the fact that this is a departure from the author's usual military operations background. He really should stick to what it does best, and leave spy novels to someone else!

In short, the story is about a man named Slater, who has abitions beyong his ex-SAS soldiering days, and is a gym teacher at a posh school. When a terrorist group attempts to kidnap a rich-kid student, Slater intervenes and kills the bad guys. When the school board screws Slater, sending him on his way with a decent severance, Slater relunctantly becomes a bodyguard.

When the bodyguarding job goes south, Slater then runs into a soldier buddy who helps him join a secret organization called - the Cadre. A small group of assasins.

This is a fast-paced reading experience, with believable characters that shine through each page. If you like James Bond books or movies, then you should really enjoy this one.
