Hit Parade 1953
This CD contains a wonderfully nostalgic collection of 25 songs that I remember from my early childhood. Several of the songs stimulated strong memories of my parents. My only disappointment is in the audio quality. Several of the songs are noticeably sibilant, marked by "splattering" of "s" sounds. The price is a bargain, however, and I'm happy I bought this CD.

Great CD and great quality sound. I got this CD for the Elementary School that I work at, to use on their phone system when someone is either transferred or put on hold, because the school was built in 1953. It's great to hear the songs that were popular of the year the school opened. People calling in seem to like it and some get a kick out of it. Great popular songs that most will probably know. Some I didn't have any idea that was the year they were popular.

This is a very nice series for the price. Some of the songs may be a little bit scratchy but never so much that it gets in the way of listening to the music. Overall, the sound quality is very good and the songs for each year are well selected. An enjoyable, affordable collection.
