Here's a great opportunity to Brother Ray at his big band , swingin' best, live on stage in Berlin cerica 1962. He hits all the bases, leaving his audience begging for more. This is truly a classic concert by an American Classic.

Great live performance! Ray was at the top of his game at the time of this recording. This cd not only contains Ray's best songs, but also the best versions of these songs. The mastering is perfect for a recording done in 1962. This is my favorite RC cd!

If you want early Ray with more of a jazz & instrumental flavor, then Ray Charlies Live is another cd to add to your collection. If you want an overall sampling (e.g., country, jazz, & blues) of Ray get the cd Ray Charles Genuis The Ultimate Collection - it's a nice collection but lacks the personal feel of a well done live performance.

The Berlin, 1962 cd is exactly the way I remember Ray - a great singer, soulful pianist, and the owner of any song he sang. You won't go wrong with this cd!
