4.0 out of 5 stars Creepy and Funny at the Same Time
Eddie, Winks, Cassie, and Scott were bored so they decided to go for a drive even though they don't have licences, just to make sure they would pass their drivers test. When Eddie was at the wheel he hit someone named Brandit Tinkers and killed him. Now they're getting messages and phone calls from him.
Great book!! It's really scary and funny at the same time...

3.0 out of 5 stars a very mediocre book
It was really kind of stupid. It was very predictable. Just to make this review short, it wasn't his best.

Great book!! It's really scary and funny at the same time. You'll be really suprised at the end. It was the first R.L. Stine book i read that isn't Goosebumps
I rate this book 4 stars because it was a little draged on.

4.0 out of 5 stars "'License To Drive, License to Kill'", May 4, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Hit and Run (Point Horror Series) (Hardcover)
This book was great! The begining was boring, but it gets thrilling very quickly. It is about these friends who go for a drive one night and hit a guy. They leave him there in the road cuz he is dead and they don't wanna go 2 jail. But they only think he is dead. Soon the girl gets a call from the guy theu hit. He says: "You can't run" and hangs up. It sent chills down my spine! This book is really good and thrilling!!

4.0 out of 5 stars "Look before you cross....", September 3, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Hit and Run (Point Horror Series) (Hardcover)
Four high schoolers from Avondale North (Cassie Martin, the protagonist, Scott Baldwin, Eddie "Scaredy" Katz, and Bruce "Winks" Winkleman) secretly go out one evening to practice their driving on a nearby deserted road. However, on the way back home, they accidentally hit and kill a man crossing the street. The foursome try and keep it a secret, but too many odd things start to happen shortly after: the corpse of the man they killed is reported missing from the morgue, the four young teens start receiving threatening phone calls from the deceased man (Brandt Tinkers), as well as other signs to indicate the man isn't dead after all--or is he? Could this whole stunt really just be a sick joke?

"Hit and Run" loosely follows the path of Lois Duncan's "I Know What You Did Last Summer", except there's not as much bloodshed in this book as compared to the movie (which is surprising, since this is a Stine book), except for another hit-and-run targeting Winks. As is typical with any R. L. Stine book, the writing's spare and short, and there's a cliffhanger at the end of every chapter. The identity of the killer is pretty easy to guess as well (at least it was for me), and I'm sure most readers familiar with Stine's work will guess him/her nearly from the beginning. There is some morbid, juvenile humor (i.e., at the beginning with the human eye prank and at the end when they're playing around with a stiff), but I think the intended audience will probably enjoy it rather than be disgusted.

4.0 out of 5 stars a good book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, April 16, 2002
This review is from: Hit and Run (Point Horror Series) (Hardcover)
Hit And Run by R.L Stine is a good book. It's pretty much about four friends who decide to take a ride to help their friend Eddie, pass his drivers test. Then they hit someone and killed him. Since none of the kids had their license they decided to just leave. The first three chapters made me think of the movie, I know what you did last summer, but it's not the same. It's totally different but just as good.I really would recommend this book to poeple who enjoy suspensful books.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hit And Run or I Know What You Did Last Summer, August 4, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Hit and Run (Point Horror Series) (Hardcover)
From the start of this book there is a huge similarity between this and I know what you did last summer ( i wonder if some one was riped of ). Altghough there wewre no real killings in the book, it was quite scary, but fun to read. But i have to say, the ending was crap and totally predictable. A sequel would be good.

1.0 out of 5 stars The most predictable book I've ever read..., June 2, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Hit and Run (Point Horror Series) (Hardcover)
I didn't even get past page 19...I KNEW what was going on, I even checked the ending just to make sure...Wow, maybe I read too much...R.L. Stine is good for a quick read and I do think younger kids would get scared...so his books are excellent for them...just don't try to pick one up if you're over 15. He is talented, though...:)

5.0 out of 5 stars I know what you did..., August 21, 2009
This review is from: Hit and Run (Point Horror Series) (Hardcover)
Eddie, Winks, Scott and Cassie are friends. Eddie is fearful of nature and is the target for jokes and pranks, especially from prankster Winks. One day the four friends went on a drive to get practice before Eddie is taking his driving test. They hit a man and he died. Scared they fled the scene. Eddie's cousin works at the morgue and he has stressing news: The body has disappeared. Then they receive threats and accidents start happening. Has their victim returned from the dead? Someone knows what happened that night...

Another great one from Stine. This one is sort of similar to I know what you did last summer. Great ending.
