Excellent Saw! This saw is light, smooth, quit. The base is stout and slippery. The saw over all is very solid and precise. Great ergonomics, well balanced. Out of all the saws I have used, Makita, Dewalt, Skill, Porter Cable, this ones my favorite! I love this saw!

Only been using for about a month, but I have to agree with previous reviews. Quality, smooth, solid, sturdy base, powerful, accurate right out of the box. Good blade included. Cuts through 6x6 in 2 passes. Great saw!

Just purchased the Hitachi C8 ....8 1/4" circuler saw in early March. Excellent is all I can say. Does exactly what I needed for my EZ Smart system. Stack cut is a dream. The saw is very heavy, powerful and has a great base plate. Exactly what I was looking for.

I can actually stack 3 sheets of MDF and cut through all three at the same time. Ok, a little slow, but can still do it.

Only 1 problem so far. Ordered the dust collector attachment and didn't receive all the parts for it to work properly. This has nothing to do with the Hitachi C8 performance as I ordered it from another company. This other company, has discontinued selling Hitachi products...Bummer.

I did receive a full refund (from the other company), including shipping.

That part is good.
