This is a very eloquent projector, and the seller Brown Box shipped it fast, all very good. Then I turned it on, and the focus is only by the remote, tried and tried, it would not focus. It kind of got close, to the point where you could almost make things out, but it was still very soft.

I am a cinematographer, and event projectionist ( along with an IMAX projectionist in the past), I own several projectors, so it was a big disappointment how bad this image was. I kept the projector to within Hitachi's specs for distance. I also own a Vivitek D795WT Ultra Short Throw projector, and it's not perfect in overall sharpness, no ultra short throw is, but it looks fabulous in playing video. I would have to recommend the Vivitek D795WT for an UST projector over this Hitachi, hands down great video quality. You might be able to find one of these on an auction site, mine was over $600, but I lik the Vivitek.

I might have just got one that was way off, I won't know, as I will be returning it and keeping my beautiful Vivitek D795WT .
