With the Hitachi DZ-MV780MA 1.3 MP DVD Camcorder with 10x Optical Zoom, you can capture stunning video and still images for instant playback on a DVD player. Offering 1.3 megapixels of resolution, the DZ-MV780MA will offer you the ability to record images for true cinematic 16:9 wide-screen playback.

With 10x optical zoom and 240x digital zoom, this camcorder will get you closer and more personal with your subject than you've ever been. A power accessory port hot shoe offers plug-ins for optional accessories, such as additional lighting. The DZ-MV780MA offers several options of image recording for the ultimate in convenience. By recording directly to DVD, you can eliminate the accidental erasure of previously recorded material. DVD-Ram recording lets you record, erase, and re-record on same disc up to 100,000 times. Recording to DVD-R lets you play your video back immediately on most standard DVD players. A single-sided disk can store up to 60 minutes of MPEG video, while a double-sided disk can record up to a full two hours of filming. In addition to playing your video back directly on a DVD player, you also have the option of downloading to your computer with USB 2.0, or connecting the camcorder to a television using the supplied AV cables. The DZ-MV780MA is also SD/MMX compatible for still images. You can store up to 50 JPEG images at 1280 x 960 resolution on a standard 32 megabyte SD card.

Thanks to Hitachi's revolutionary technology, the DZ-MV780MA offers quick-start functionality that allows you to start recording within a mere seven seconds after disc initialization. As an added feature, you can also transfer old home VCR movies directly onto DVD via the DZ-MV780MA, saving you the expense and time of having someone else convert them for you.
