This new G18MR grinder from Hitachi incorporates the new IDI desing technology into the most effeceint tool available. This IDI technology offers an aluminum outershell and an injected nylon core to keep the double insulation properties needed.

G18MR Size: 7" The G18MR 7'' Angle Grinder is equipped with Hitachi's IDI technology that significantly strengthens the body of the tool. The G18MR debars diecast products and finishes iron, bronze, aluminum, welds and torch cut surfaces. It can also be used to cut soft steel materials as well as grooving and cutting concrete and other stone materials. Features: -15 Amp motor, forcible output power (3, 500W) for the toughest grinding jobs. -Class leading overload durability. -Tool - less wheel guard can be adjusted to desired angle. -Sealed armature coil, reduces wear caused by dust and debris for longer tool life. -Dust-proof labyrinth construction prolongs armature, switch and bearing life. -Ball bearings seated in iron retainer for greater durability. -Three position adjustable side handle, reduces vibration. -Carbon brush access, allows user to replace brush as needed to greatly prolong the life of the tool. -11.9 lbs, lightweight design facilitates maneuverability. Bought this to grind paint off the stucco on my house. This is what they had a the rental yard so I figured it would hold up well. Used it 6 hours a day for 6 days. Is very powerful and did not overheat. The safety switch makes sure you won't accidentally turn it on while picking it up.
