Hitachi N5024A 1" Crown Stapler,
By
This review is from: Hitachi N5024A 2-inch Wide Crown Stapler (Tools & Home Improvement)
Hitachi continues to dominate the pneumatic tool market with this professional grade stapler. It appears to be a close cousin of their 7/16 Construction stapler and functions every bit as flawlessly- powerful, quiet, balanced, light and comfortable in the hand. I am pleased that Hitachi did not choose to give it that "Flash Gordon"- green black styling they have used of late, which I find obnoxious. It is, quite simply the finest 1" stapler on the market, equally at home with both hard and soft woods, and unjammable.

This thing is well made and light when considering the work it performs. Staple depth is uniform over a wide range of air pressure and it has never jammed in over 20,000 staples. I'm stapling 15 lb building paper over a wall and this is one purchase I don't regret or would do different

I have used several staplers from Paslode, Makita, Senco... this stapler blows them all out of the water. My company puts together sips and we have been through alot of staplers, the Hitachi hits the hardest and has held up the longest. We nail thousands of staples every day. This stapler is not the prettiest, it is the loudest, and it does make a hissing sound if you hold the trigger to bump fire - but if you are just concerned with performance than this is the stapler for you. My Makita would not drive a 1 1/2" staple all the way flush, the Hitachi will bury the 2" staples.

This is a pretty good gun. I shoot around 7000 staples per job. I have not had a problem with this. My only beef is the trigger. It is good if you want to shoot one at a time, but if you hold the trigger and bump along, air hisses out of the trigger after every staple. I don't bump with it. I also have the Makita 1" stapler and prefer it over the hitachi. I agree, I am glad they kept this gun the dull green not the flash gordon style. I would buy this again if the Makita wasn't on the market.

I bought this tool for a project where I needed to staple metal lath onto plywood. After 10,000, plus or minus, staples, I had only one jamb, which was very easy to rectify. I don't know how this tool will work if it's used every day, but for occasional use it's great. Nice and light, too, so fatigue was never a problem.
