Perfect For Framing,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Hitachi NR90AF 3-1/2-inch Wire Weld 28 Degree Framing Nailer (Tools & Home Improvement)
I usually don't leave any product feedback but when I saw this gun didn't have a good rating I needed to put in my two cents. I've been in the carpentry business for over 30 years now and have worked with many, many nail guns. This Hitachi gun is by far the easiest to work with 100%.Pros: Light weight, Adjust single or multiple fire without having to change heads, the 28 degree angle makes it a wiz at getting into tight spaces (unlike with the other review says I have no problem what so ever finding nails for this gun), Nail hitting strength is very consistent and very strong if need be shooting into a Parallam beam, Cons: annoying to change from one nail 2"1/4 to another 3", That's the only complaint I have. I was going to also put that you can't move the direction of the exhaust but after over a year of use I've never had it blow in my face so I think Hitachi figured that out for me. I'm thinking the guy who gave this gun a 2star rating got a dud, or hasn't really used other framing nailers. I really only came on here to buy a second one for my crew so they stop using mine all the time. I would 100% recommend this framing nailer to any tradesman out there. West Coast Framer

Too Light Duty For Construction,
By
This review is from: Hitachi NR90AF 3-1/2-inch Wire Weld 28 Degree Framing Nailer (Tools & Home Improvement)
This gun may be okay for homeowners, but it's too light duty for the job site. This gun shoots 28 degree nails, which generally cost more than 21 degree round head nails. Buy a 21 degree round head nailer, or a 33 degree clipped head one. Clipped head nailers hold more, but the round head nails hold better, and they're required by code in many places.Pros: 1) LIGHT!! 2) Simple 3) Easy Switching Trigger (from auto to semiauto) 4) Easy Depth Adjustment Cons: 1) Underpowered 2) Inconsistent nailing depth 3) Nonadjustable exhaust 4) 28 Degree Nails Are More Hard To Find and usually more expensive 5) Mine started leaking air internally after two jobs. May be bad luck?? I highly recommend a Bostitch F21PL. Another great framing gun with less features is the Porter Cable Fr350A. Both great guns.
