The Hitachi NT65GA is Hitachi's newest cordless 15 gauge angled finish nailer. The Hitachi NT65GA is powered by a gas fuel rod and Lithium battery for complete portability. Freedon from cumbersome air hose and a compressor saves time in setup, during applications, and in jobsite clean up. The Hitachi NT65GA is lightweight at only 4.4 pounds for balance, maneuverability and minimal user fatigue. The Hitachi NT65GA is ideal for overhead and extended use applications. The Hitachi NT65GA features a double action nail feed and reciprocating piston system to drive up to 2 nails per second or 1,000 nails per hour. The Hitachi NT65GA is equipped with a quick clear nose with tool-less jam release for easy maintenance and reduced downtime. A double lock fuel compartment latches securely and keeps the fuel rod seated firmly, while the Hitachi 3.6volt Lithium Ion battery drives up to 2,000 fasteners on a single charge. The Hitachi NT65GA has a low battery indicator to prevent unexpected downtime and when it is time to charge your batteries the Hitachi NT65GA comes with a 1-hour AC/DC charger that can charge from a wall socket or a car outlet. The Hitachi NT65GA features a tool-less depth of drive adjustment as well as a detachable no-mar nose cap to protect work surfaces.The NT65GA has a variable position hook to accommodate both left and right-handed users and a dry fire lockout prevent blank activation.

This is one fantastic tool, and if you do not believe me look at reviews over the web such as [....]. The nails MUST be high quality such as Senco. I had some jam in this gun because the were an off brand I tried to use as I ran out of the Senco DA type I use. I use the Paslode yellow short fuel can.
I can even over-drive in hard wood if I want. Not sure what was wrong with the other user's review tool, could be a few things, most likely the fuel is old[none is included, have to check the date code on the can], or the nails are jamming because they are not like quality 15 ga SencoDA's, or the wrong type/gauge such as "UA "or Bostich angle which look similar but are not for this gun.
This is an excellent design, well made in Taiwan, not China[wish it was made in USA].
Balance is excellent. Makes other battery only guns look like framers, at about 4#'s it is great for use overhead and on ladders, clip can be used to hang gun easily. This is so lightweight and precise I hardly use my many other air nailers. The 16 ga. straight Paslode I have, never gets used now, much larger,no angle, heavier, balance nowhere as good. The battery last a very long time and is low cost to replace unlike the other expensive higher voltage guns. The bonus screwdriver is nice for small , light work such as electrical. The molded case has extra room and hold gas cans too.

The complaints are minor. The nose cover does not stay on the storage stud, falls off easily and the door on the gas cover seems like it could break as it has a thin plastic fold as a hinge not a pivot pin like the Paslode or my Hitachi cordless RH Framer .

Just thrilled with this tool overall.

I have used this for a month and I should send it back. It will not drive a nail though 3/4 inch hickory. It jambs and the nail is left half way in the wood. When I use it on 3/4 oak, it will only set the nail about two thirds of the time. It is light weight and comfortable to hold, but if it doesn't drive nails, who cares? I does work in softer woods, hence the one star. I hope I can still return it. By the way, I am a interior trim sub-contractor and all of my pneumatic nail guns have no problem driving nails into the same wood.

BE AWARE OF A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THIS NAILER!!!!!
Bought this online, drove in only 6-8 nails and the trigger / firing pin jammed tight and would not budge. Followed all instructions carefully and used high quality nails. Took it to website's listed Hitachi dealer [Blue box store] and then to an authorized repair center. Was told at this point, gas nailers are a relatively new line for Hitachi and they have no permanent repairs for this yet, so I will return it and get the air nailer from the local Blue Box instead.
