This book is well written and provides the reader with many opportunities to have an "a ha" moment. The book leads you through what it really takes to transform yourself and provides excellent, concrete examples to help the reader figure out their own goals, their own motivation and their reasons for wanting to change. It does not advocate any fad diets or fad exercise plans, but rather emphasizes that for a true transformation it must be a lifestyle change that requires hard work. There are no specific exercise routines or even sample diets; rather it focuses on the mental aspect of transformation - the most important part. The authors provide encouragement that anyone can make a transformation and achieve the physical, mental, and spiritual levels that they want to achieve. This is perhaps one of the best books I have read on how to approach changing yourself and would highly recommend it to anyone that truly wants to make the change.
This is the book to read if you have been in a rut and feeling lousy inside and out. I have felt that way the past 3 years and needed a boast to start climbing out of the rut. This book has a lot of thought provoking insight to make you think and start feeling positive that you can transform yourself. Well worth the read!
This book is inspirational and very informative to people new to fitness and even the experienced ones. It is precise and to the point...no fluff in this book.
I'm sorry but there is not much motivating to me about hearing someone ramble on about how great they are. The book (which Hitchfit includes in their on-line "training" program was about as motivating as the dentist.
