I bought this charger and battery set for my son's Geo Trax train set. The Geo Trax train set still gets a lot of use. Unfortunately after less than 3 months, this charger went bad. For the longest time I couldn't figure out why, until I plugged the charging cord into the charger and watched the charger blink on and off several times - indicative of a bad connection. No matter how I tried to shift the charger cord or the charger itself the connection wouldn't take. I now own two La Crosse Technology BC-9009 AlphaPower Battery chargers and they work fantastic!!! This Hitech charger is going in the trash with a mental note to never buy one again.

I was extremely disappointed in this charger. I purchased two to give to my nephews' parents to go along with the electronic toys I gave them for Christmas. Both charges were faulty and did not fully recharge the batteries that came with the charger nor did they charge other clearly marked rechargeable batteries even though I let them charge overnight. Some of the battery docks kept reporting error messages no matter what batteries I placed into those charging docks. This is a horribly unreliable charger.
