This book is uncommonly important.
Max Picard saw through the need to demonize Hitler, and somehow understood that we use figures we don't like to deny and project, the demonic within. His exploration was a watershed, and it deserves more attention than it has gotten. With the deepening of our understanding of the mechanism of projection, among other things by means of A Course In Miracles, and the profound psychological insights it presents, Picard's breakthrough will hopefully get more attention than it has in the past. |
