Product Description

The clone assassin has been played long enough–
now it’s more than a game.

Bred to kill, Agent 47 is The Agency’s most valuable assassin. So when a competing murder-for-hire organization decides to destroy The Agency, the first person they target for elimination is Agent 47. Tasking someone to off the best hitman in the business is one thing; getting the job done is another. When the attempt falls short, Agent 47 is ordered to track down and kill the culprit who is feeding vital information about The Agency to its enemies.

Agent 47 must follow a bloody trail halfway around the world, fight his way through the streets of Fez, Morocco, and battle slavers deep inside Chad. Then he will discover a shattering truth: If he fails at his mission, the price he’ll pay will be far greater than his own life. . . .

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recomend reading this book, September 20, 2007
I really do recomend reading this book, it has everything that a fan of the game would want. William C. Dietz captured 47's emotions very well and sends you whirling into the assassins thoughts. This book also explains some of 47's childhood where the game explaind his past but never really touched his childhood and I liked that. I hope that there will be more Hitman books to come.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hitman:enemy within - great read!, September 18, 2007
First off, I loved the games and am really looking forward to the upcoming movie. This book was well written and if you've played the games, you wont be disappointed as all the techniques Agent 47 uses are employed. Some reveiwers disliked the nudity/langauge used but I feel it was not overdone and enhanced the story. This is after all adult subject matter based on an adult game. The really cool thing I liked about this book was how it jumped all over the world and actually educated me about some places and customs. I look forward to (hopefully) many sequels and would love this to be a continuing series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable read, December 10, 2007

As a fan of the game series, I was very interested in this book. While not the deepest, intellectual read I've ever had, it was pleasantly surprised with the book. It takes the character to new places and does expand on what makes him tick. Some of the other characters are fairly flat and most are quickly dealt with by the protaganist. For someone with no knowledge of the games, it will be an easy, action-packed read. For a die-hard fan, there are plenty of "yea, right!" moments, but still I enjoyed the franchise (not 'The Franchise', mind you) moving to another media. All in all, a worthwhile purchase.
