This is a great road trip CD!,
By Dustin Menzies (Kansas) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Hitman Hart: Wrestling With Shadows (1998 TV Movie) (Audio CD)
Bret said it best on the CD's backside... "Rock and Roll helps pass the time when you're on the road". This is a collection of tunes that are actually pretty good songs. I had not heard of some of these bands before listening to the CD, but I liked what I heard. This cd is great to just throw in while on the road or while sitting at home relaxing or thinking. At the end of some of the tracks is a clip or two from the film. I am a huge Bret Hart fan, so this meant a lot to me, but to the average music listener, this will appeal to you to. The first two tracks are basically Bret gimmick music, but the rest is simply put - a collection of songs ranging from Bryan Adams to Rob Zombie. All in all this CD is good stuff.

An album for diehard Bret Hart fans or alt. rock !,

This review is from: Hitman Hart: Wrestling With Shadows (1998 TV Movie) (Audio CD)
I will admit this review is probably byist because I'm a huge Bret Hart fan, but then again I expected a mediocre album.Bret Hart's theme intro music is fantastic and is done by Bryan Adams' guitarist Keith Scott and is in it's full length unlike the dissapointing wcw mayhem cd!The songs "Lie Detector"by DDT,"Halfway"by Gloritone, and "Resurection"by Moist are surprisingly pretty good alternative/Modern rock songs that are catchy and you might find yourself humming or singing parts of them during the day.The track"Sparkle & Shine"by Econoline Crush is a song that has an electronica sound to it and seems like it could be on U2's "POP" album."Second Coming"by Soft starts off with a heavy riff and goes into a more of a pop/grunge rythym. Then there's the Days of the New track that everyone has heard but is still cool and "Only the Strong Survive" by Bryan Adams which has a 80's pop rock with a dash of country feel to it.The final track on this album is an instrumnental track with a cool mellow sound to it that is simply an aucoutic guitar and violin playing together a very beautiful harmony. All in all I recomend this album to people only if a.there a huge Bret Hart fan and want his theme song or b.they would like a good alternative/modern rock album.

The best there is, was, and ever will be!,
By hogannwo15@aol.com (Arizona) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Hitman Hart: Wrestling With Shadows (1998 TV Movie) (Audio CD)
This is the sound track to the documentry that shows how underhanded the WWF is, "Hitman Hart Wrestling with Shadows". In this sound track, however, you will hear great theme music from Bret's days in WCW (yes, his WCW theme song is complete and this was a toughy to find by theme traders!). There is also great metal and rap music on it. I'm not much for rap but the songs that are ont his CD are pretty good. It is one of the best CD's I've heard.
