I'm so happy DC decided to re-release the hitman issues in trades! Every hitman trade is an awesome fun read, and Tommy's Heroes is NO DIFFERENT!

Tommy Monaghan was taken from us to soon. Who else will laugh at Green Tightwad...errrr, excuse me,Green LANTERN when he goes drinking without pockets? Ennis' HITMAN showed the honor and bleak humor in a world of superhumans that had the blood hidden.
Anything Ennis writes is worth a purchase.

What do Tommy, Natt, Sean, Hagen, Ringo, 1,000,000 AD, Africa, metahumans, mercenaries, a mad Irishman, the SAS and superman all have in common? They've all in this collection, a great part of a great series. So go get it!

The title I gave for this review says it all: AWESOME - ENNIS AT HIS BEST! A fun read with great DC Appearances. One of the best titles DC had, and Garth Ennis is the best at writing it.

While many things remain constant in the continuing Hitman-series, there's one part that distorts the internal logic of the legend. The S.A.S. Ennis created for the story makes Superman the epitome of reality. He must really miss the home country to make such a silly tale about their prowess and abilities. And on top of that making Monaghan and Mr The Hat act like little girls. All in all, best if one ignores this sordid and failed episode, like it was a bad dream.
